Andrew
Andrew Ogawa

Andrew Ogawa is a Managing Partner and founder of Quest Venture Partners since its inception in late 2007. Andrew is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities and closing seed and A rounds. Andrew’s expertise are in automotive transportation, procurement, corporate strategy and implementation of turnaround activities.

Andrew has 11 years experience as an employee and Manager at Daimler AG, within the divisions of Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler and Global Procurement & Supply and has been responsible in various capacities for Corporate Strategy, Controlling and Procurement. Andrew was also part of Daimler AG’s selected management team sent to former alliance partner Mitsubishi Motors Corp. to implement corporate turnaround activities, especially within the International Sales & Marketing Office. He holds BAs in Economics and East Asian Studies from University of California at Santa Barbara, as well as a MBA in International Management from Thunderbird, American Graduate School of International Management. He currently serves as a Board of Director Member for Virgance and Fididel.

Hiromitsu
Hiromitsu Ogawa

Hiro Ogawa is a Managing Partner and founder of Quest Venture Partners since its inception in late 2007. Hiro is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities. Hiro’s expertise are in financial leasing, shipping, fundraising and being an experienced entrepreneur.

Prior to Quest Venture Partners, Hiro has worked in the container leasing industry for over 30 years; 19 of which have been with CAI International Inc, (NYSE: CAP) which he founded and presides as executive chairman of the board today. Prior to founding CAI in 1989, he was with Itel Containers for 12 years as Vice President of Marketing for Japan and Korea. Earlier in his career, he also held the position of Executive Managing Director of Heublein Japan Co. Ltd as well as brand management and sales promotion manager for Coca-Cola Japan Co. Ltd. Hiro graduated from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies with a BA in English-Economics Management followed by two years of post-graduate work at the University of Washington Business School. Hiro is also the recipient of the Ernst and Young Northern California Entrepreneur of the Year award 2008 in Business Services.

Hiro is an active member of the community and sits on the board of the
American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter and the
San Francisco Opera.

Marcus

Marcus Ogawa

Marcus Ogawa is a Managing Partner and founder of Quest Venture Partners since its inception in late 2007. Marcus is responsible for finding new investment opportunities, evaluating and closing seed / A rounds and working closely with the management teams of Quest Venture Partners portfolio companies. Marcus’ expertise are in new digital media, and network communications. He currently serves on the board of directors for Qik Inc, Virgance Inc, and Fididel Inc, and serves as board adviser and observer for several other companies.

Prior to joining Quest Venture Partners, Marcus has worked with a number of startups and established companies ranging from Internet, distributed computing, real estate, and news media. Marcus is an active member of angel communities, including being a member of the Sand Hill Angels since 2008. He holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from Bentley University.

Marcus was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan and is a bilingual, dual national of Japan and the United States. Marcus enjoys philosophizing, conceptualizing, theorizing and implementing technological ideas, traveling, strategy tabletop gaming, fishing, reading and spending time with his wife.
